ASHER DENBURG
MEET ASHER
Asher Denburg is a passionate musician and talented instrumentalist. A modern-day musical Renaissance man, he has played some of America's most prestigious performing arts venues, collaborated with luminaries from Broadway and the Metropolitan Opera, and has been a man of the theatre for as long as he can remember.
Currently, Asher is traveling as a keyboard player with the First National Tour of A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical. He is also working with Emmy-nominated comedian Jeff Ross, playing piano and writing original songs for Ross' new one-man show, Take A Banana For The Ride. When he's not on tour, Asher holds ongoing residencies at Green Room 42 (At This Performance; Pretty, Witty, & Gay Cabaret), Chelsea Music Hall (Sweet! with Seth Herzog), and most recently The Box (Never Sleep Alone).
As music director, he led the national tours of Spamilton and Cirque Music Holiday Spectacular. Recent projects include the world premiere of Shanghai Sonatas in concert at the Wallis Annenberg, multiple companies of Cantaré (RWS, Holland America Line), and many of Sis Thee Doll's NYC cabarets (recent highlights: A Doll Named Sis at 54 Below, Haus of Haunts at Green Room 42, and Sismas '23 at the Midnight Theatre). Asher has helmed summer seasons at Wagon Wheel (Legally Blonde, The Addams Family), Arrow Rock Lyceum (Cinderella, All Shook Up, 9 to 5), and more. He was also the music supervisor for Never Sleep Alone with Virgin Voyages, as well as the line's inaugural house pianist.
A prolific orchestrator and budding composer, Asher's work has been featured with the Boston Pops, and the Chicago Symphony at multiple editions of the Ravinia Festival. His charts have been heard Off-Broadway and all throughout New York's cabaret scene; he also co-orchestrated Bachelors of Broadway with renowned arranger David Snyder.
Asher is a proud graduate of Berklee College of Music (B.M. Contemporary Writing and Production, summa cum laude), and is currently on staff at NYU's New Studio on Broadway.
